Energy Laboratories is a product of Energy Industries Holdings, Inc. a diversified company with a major interest in Energy Industries, LLC. a national provider of demand side and supply side energy systems. These systems mostly focus on efficiency, renewable energy and generation.

In its work, the engineers, inventors and scientist of Energy Industries were discovering innovative concepts for new systems, processes or products that could help our customers achieve their energy and environmental goals.

Most of the time, these ideas were discovered in the path of a looming deadline. To focus on the project at hand, Energy Laboratories was designed as a place where ideas could be stored and incubated until commercially viable.

Our evolution...

Darren T. Kimura, founder of Energy Industries was awarded a wood boat for an entrepreneurship award many years ago. This boat was an "Outrigger Canoe", similar to what the Polynesians used to sail to the Islands of Hawaii.

The Outrigger Canoe was the transport vehicle for the most adventurous. The Polynesians used Outrigger Canoes to travel, for exploration which led to discovery.

As our engineers developed great ideas we felt it was appropriate to put them in Darren's Outrigger Canoe. As we find breaks between projects, we circulate the Canoe, pick an idea and work on furthering the development.

Today, Energy Labs actively incubates over 20 different energy concepts and graduated 9 ideas into viable multimillion dollar companies. All our companies are operating today, providing for jobs and economic development each local economy. We now use the Canoe as our icon for discovery.
